Cool Finds
Part of my birthday weekend included going to a great Japanese book store in San Jose. They had some really nice craft books. I found it difficult to decide what to get. Alan was no help, he told me to get them all... So I did. Here are some samples.
I love the colors in these first few pages. I thought these little objects would make some cool pin cushions!
I love the colors and the graphic shapes on this bag... I really like the stitching elements as well. The photography is perfect also... Such cool stuff!

Oh Lord I'm envious. What shop did you go to? What are you going to make first? Are there patterns in the magazines? How much does a Japanese Craft magazine run? Did they have a big selection? Did I mention I am envious? I've only ordered mine online which was a little tricky.
I have never seen so many at once. They were incredible, each one being equally cool. I bought 5 magazine/books and three calenders. Alan kept saying how often to you get down here—just buy them. They ran about $12.-$19. each. I have so many more things to post... I will post more over the next few days. Most came with patterns. Some more usable then others. The book store was on Saratoga Ave. Not that far from home, but far enough that I have never been there.
